Physical therapy examination, evaluation, and intervention for upper extremity musculoskeletal dysfunction. Emphasis placed on the process of clinical decision making to develop the student's ability to utilize examination findings to establish a differential diagnosis that informs intervention. Lab activities promote development of psychomotor skills in the application of examination and intervention techniques, including special tests, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise.

Provides students with necessary strategies and tools to prepare for the national physical therapy board examination (NPTE) and to obtain and maintain state licensure. Completion of summative examinations to evaluate mastery of content areas will be performed. Fulfillment of continuing education (CEU) requirements will also be discussed, including organization and management of completed CEU hours.
